We Are Crypto will chronicle a vibrant part of the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem. Web3 and DeFi truly belong to everyone and is owned by no one, as this documentary seeks to illustrate.

We Are Crypto will unveil the unique story of the earliest adopters who fueled a $4 trillion market, but are often relegated as invisible figures. 

The short-film will follow the journey of OG Cleve Mesidor, who works at the intersection of policy and crypto. While she first learned about bitcoin while serving in the Obama administration in 2013, she did not go down the rabbit hole until 2016. A decade later, she is a renowned national and global leader in the emerging space. 

We Are Crypto will also capture the voices of top Black, Latino, Indigenous industry leaders, as well as spotlights key milestones and pivotal moments in crypto. The audience will get a revealing peek into national and global events and forums, like the Annual Congressional Briefing of Women of Color in Blockchain, Black Blockchain Summit, Martha’s Vineyard Blockchain Braintrust, reporting from butterscotch Media, and a transcendent excursion at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
